Visiting Angels Abilene is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the Big Country area with compassionate care and mobility assistance. The role includes light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship, with opportunities for training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Strong ethics and compassionate approach.
Good time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with prescribed medications.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks).
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients when able.
