Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires CNA certification preferred, BLS within 30 days, and knowledge of medical terminology, with hospital experience preferred. This is a full-time daytime position in a community hospital.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to all patients.
• Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under RN supervision.
