Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA)
• Approved workplace violence responder training program within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter

Responsibilities

• Taking and recording vital signs and assisting patients with hygiene and elimination
• Maintaining a clean and safe unit environment
• Assisting with stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed
• Performing routine clerical tasks and assisting with related duties
• Will support nursing personnel in patient care activities as assigned

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester
