Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with vital signs, ECGs, glucose checks, and daily living activities while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and responsiveness within the Hospital’s Customer Service Program, with certification within 90 days if not already held.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One clinical rotation in a nursing program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose testing.
• Ensures patient comfort, safety and adherence to hospital policies.
• Incorporates the Hospital's Customer Service Program into patient care activities.
• Accountable to Nurse Manager or designee; completes onsite nursing certification if not present at hire.
