Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse in providing direct patient care on a designated nursing unit.
• Perform activities of daily living and maintain environmental cleanliness and safety.
• Assist patients, visitors and staff with information needs and support other departments as needed.
• Support patient experience through respectful and compassionate relationships with patients and families.
• May assist in telemetry monitoring and report life-threatening arrhythmias to licensed clinicians.
• May act as transporter for the nursing unit and run errands for patient care.
• Collect data such as height, weight, vital signs and intake/output; document on forms.
• Competent in using portable devices for measurement and documentation.
