Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) I to support patient care by ensuring comfort and safety. Duties are delegated by a Registered Nurse in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines and delivered with cultural sensitivity and respect for families.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, orient patients and families to the hospital environment, and document care activities according to policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0-1 year of experience required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: Perform tasks delegated by the RN according to Ohio guidelines.
• Leadership & Accountability: demonstrate communication, teamwork, and accountability.
• Environment and Safety: ensure patient and unit safety.
• Comfort: provide patient comfort and hygiene and document per policy.
• Communication: orient patients and families and facilitate hospital communications.
