Job summary

OhioHealth's Berger Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Support Assistant for the Med Surg unit. The role supports RNs in delivering direct patient care to multiple patients on a designated unit, with a 36-hour weekly night shift.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor safety, and help with telemetry and basic nursing tasks as delegated. Strong communication and basic PC/EMR skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR certified.
• Basic PC skills to manage patient information and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with direct patient care on the Med Surg unit.
• Support activities of daily living and safety for multiple patients.
• Operate portable devices and document vitals and intake/output.
• Assist visitors and staff with information needs.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for patient care.
