Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of admissions, billing, collections, insurance and/or customer service experience.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic and financial data and verify information.
• Verify insurance coverage and initiate pre-authorization as needed.
• Collect payments or arrange financial plans and maintain logs.
• Prepare reports, forms, and patient identification items as required.
• Communicate estimated financial responsibility to patients and refer for extended terms or financial assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
