Job summary

RegalCare at Blackstone Valley is seeking a reliable Part-Time Cook to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious meals for residents while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

You will follow established menus and dietary requirements, assist with meal service, and ensure meals are served on schedule in a clean, resident‑centered environment. Weekend/holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Follow modified diets and special dietary needs as directed.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, stored, and served at appropriate temperatures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are presented attractively and served on schedule.
• Properly label, date, and store food items.
• Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
