Job summary

UnityPoint Health's UnityPoint Clinic- PACE is seeking a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for our PACE participants Monday through Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. This role focuses on comfort, safety, and excellent customer service as you help participants get to appointments and program activities.

You will assist with mobility needs, monitor wellbeing, follow schedules and safety procedures, and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED required.
At least 6 months experience transporting individuals with mobility needs preferred.
One year experience with frail or elderly population preferred.
Must possess and maintain BCLS within 30 days of hire.
Valid driver’s license with Chauffer endorsement as needed.
IA/IL Mandatory Reporter training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, reliable transportation for PACE participants to appointments and program activities while delivering exceptional customer service.
Assist participants with mobility needs, including wheelchair transport, ambulation, transfers, and home access.
Monitor participant well-being, communicate changes in health or home conditions, respond appropriately to emergencies.
Follow transportation schedules, safety procedures, and all traffic laws while working independently and with the care team.
Maintain vehicles in a safe, clean, and ready-to-operate condition through daily inspections, fueling, and routine safety checks.
Monitor vehicle performance, report maintenance needs, and support reliable transportation services across the PACE program.
Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
