Job summary

Carolina SeniorCare in Lexington, NC is seeking a Driver for its PACE program. The role involves safe, timely transportation of participants to the PACE Center, medical appointments, and community activities, including meals and medications.

You will assist with boarding, operate under the Transportation Coordinator, and uphold safety and confidentiality standards. Full-time and part-time opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Successful completion of a defensive driving course within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport participants to and from the PACE Center, medical appointments, specialist visits, and community activities.
• Assist participants with boarding and exiting vehicles when needed.
• Transport meals, medications, medical equipment, and other participant-related items.
• Follow assigned schedules while adapting to changes and participant needs.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and required documentation.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns, operational issues, or incidents promptly.
• Communicate effectively with the Transportation Coordinator and interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
