Job summary

AHRC Nassau is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our Woodbury, NY community living program. You will work the night shift (Sun–Wed, 11p–9a) providing support to residents toward their goals and well-being.

The role involves assisting with self-care, health, safety, daily routines and social activities, while promoting the agency’s mission. HS diploma preferred; NYS driver’s license required; 40 hours per week; starting pay $14 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have NYS driver's license and maintain status.
• Must be able to communicate and understand written and oral directives.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support to residents in the Community Living Services program to maintain a high quality of life.
• Assist with self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization and overall well-being.
• Promote the agency’s mission and guiding principles in every interaction.
