Job summary

Adoration Health in Lexington, KY is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering customized treatment plans that enhance patient strength, mobility and function. You will document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to adjust plans of care while ensuring safety and clinical standards are met.

New grads are encouraged to apply; valid OTA certification and CPR are required; lifting may be required up to 100 pounds

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice
• Current Live CPR Certification
• Two-step TB skin test required
• Proof of Auto Insurance
• Knowledge of evidence based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
• One year preferred
• New grads encouraged to apply
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity,and walking/standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of treatment intervention
• Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients; strength, mobility and function.
• Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multi-disciplinary team members as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned
