Mercy seeks an Oncology Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. In this role, you'll coordinate chemotherapy and related therapies, monitor symptoms, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oncology nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and related therapies.
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications safely.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for treatment side effects and complications.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and home care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Follow infection control and safety protocols for high-risk oncology populations.
• Respond to urgent or emergent patient situations and escalate care appropriately.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.
• Support Mercy's culture of compassion, diversity, and continuous professional growth.
