Job summary

Qualifications

• Idaho RN license required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card required within 90 days.
• BSN preferred.
• OCN preferred.
• Infusion experience strongly preferred.
• Oncology terminology appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate oncology nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy and biologic treatments under physician supervision.
• Hydration, iron treatments and injections as prescribed.
• Monitor patients and support adherence to oral chemotherapy.
• Educate patients and families on medications and side effects.
• Access ports, PICC lines and start IVs.
• Oversee infusion schedules and maintain patient flow.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy.
