Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at Navicent Health Medical Center - Oncology: MOB in Macon, GA. This full-time, on-site role offers 40 hours/week and a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour, with 8 AM–5 PM weekday hours.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, insurance verification, scheduling, and front desk duties, delivering excellent service, and ensuring accurate records and billing support in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred.
• Front desk practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience
• Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Manages patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival and/or departure desk activities with accuracy
• Encourages patient utilization of front-end technology during the registration process
• Enters and maintains confidential patient information including insurance and billing details
• Assists billing functions and directs to appropriate billing office
• Demonstrates proficiency of emergency codes and applicable healthcare regulations
• Monitors inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment
