Job summary

Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard, WA is hiring on-call Nursing Assistants certified to provide nursing and related care to residents on a rotating basis. Expect minimum three shifts per week across two shifts with no telework.

Positions are in alignment with state compensation rules and may include shift premiums. Qualified candidates must hold a NAC license, OBRA registry status, and demonstrate English proficiency.

Qualifications

• NAC license required and OBRA registry active.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene care, toileting, eating and feeding assistance.
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to licensed staff.
• Record vital signs and document intake/output accurately.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as applying anti-embolism stockings and skin care.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and respectful environment.
