Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic institution.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
• New graduate or experienced clinicians considered.
• Professional competency as a general practitioner of OT as defined by certification and licensure.
• Ability to select age appropriate functional goals and treatment techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of the patient using evaluation tools and clinical observations.
• Develops treatment plans, including goals, and methods to achieve identified goals.
• Provides goal directed treatment consistent with current OT practice standards and/or ensures that OTAs deliver goal-directed services appropriately.
• Selects and uses learning strategies to share occupational therapy treatment choices and outcomes with patients, family, care team and consumers.
• Effectively uses available information sources to report therapy activities and patient performances.
• Promotes growth and development while evaluating performance and maintaining standards of assigned individuals.
