Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide assessment, treatment planning, and documentation to increase patients’ functional independence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with NC licensure; a Master’s degree is preferred. New graduates and experienced clinicians are welcome to join a collaborative OT team serving pediatric to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic institution.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina
• Ability to work with pediatric, adult and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of the patient using evaluation tools and clinical observations
• Develops treatment plans, including goals, and methods to achieve identified goals
• Provides goal directed treatment consistent with current OT practice standards and/or ensures that OTAs deliver goal-directed services appropriately
• Selects and uses learning strategies to share occupational therapy treatment choices and outcomes with patients, family, care team and consumers
• Effectively uses available information sources to report therapy activities and patient performances
• Promotes growth and development while evaluating performance and maintaining standards of assigned individuals

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Master’s degree preferred
