Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron in Akron, Ohio seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem shifts. The role centers on compassionate patient care, including bathing, feeding support, and assisting with mobility. The position offers 12-hour shifts with compensation of $20.00 per hour.

The NA will participate in hourly rounds, assist with transfers, and help maintain a clean, safe patient environment in a busy post-ICU setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification required
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene
• Help with oral feeding and hair care for patients
• Attend hourly rounds and monitor patient needs
• Assist transporters by moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked with supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

High school diploma/GED

Nursing Assistant certification or hospital experience
