Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio in Newark provides post-ICU care for critically ill patients. The Nursing Assistant will support basic patient care, assist with baths, feeding, and hygiene, and take part in hourly rounds on 12-hour shifts.

This PRN/per diem role offers $22 per hour, on-site at the Newark campus, with a strong orientation program and opportunities for advancement. Benefits are available and the position may lead to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant, CNA certification, or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products, oral hygiene, and basic grooming.
• Administer oral feeding and assist with hair care as part of daily care.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs and comfort.
• Assist in transporting patients to treatment areas and help with transfers in/out of stretchers or wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
