Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support and assist the nurse in delivering quality patient care. You will participate in data collection, reporting, and coordination with the health care team, contributing to our standards of excellence.

You will assist with activities of daily living, observe skin integrity, document outcomes, and help with discharge planning under RN supervision. Certification and BLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• Certified Nurse Aide (Required).
• CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Report at the start of each shift from the RN and relay to the oncoming staff.
• Assist in patient assessment and data collection such as vital signs and weight.
• Document findings and communicate with the health care team in a timely fashion.
• Assist with activities of daily living and discharge planning as directed.
• Observe skin changes and report changes to the RN.

Education

H.S. Diploma/GED

Graduate of a certified nursing assistant program
