Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team in providing compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include aiding personal needs, hygiene, dressing, mobility, linen changes, and helping transport patients to tests and procedures, as well as serving meals and recording vital signs under supervision.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nurse assisting program or one year of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and services for personal needs, comfort and safety.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, walking, and linen changes.
• Assist with transportation to tests and procedures and deliver meals between meals; may record temperature or vital signs under a nurse's direction.
