Job summary

Ascension in Illinois is seeking a patient care support role to assist with basic patient care activities, and follow procedures ordered by physicians supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN). You will help provide timely, individualized care to assigned patients.

You will assist with personal care, transfers, and report changes to nursing staff, while keeping patient rooms clean and orderly. A High school diploma or GED and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care activities.
• Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist in providing care appropriate to population specific facilitating timely and individualized care of assigned patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
