Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support non-acutely ill patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care. You will work under the supervision of the RN in charge to maintain safety and a clean environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with feeding, monitoring patient status, and communicating changes to the RN and team. A CNA is preferred and current BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred.
• English reading and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within the nursing attendant’s scope of practice.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment under supervision of the RN in charge.
• Assists physicians with procedures under the direction of an RN.
• Demonstrates effective communication with RN, team, and physicians.
• Documents according to standards and completes duties within shift.
