Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role supports daily activities, maintains patient safety, and assists with feeding and hydration while documenting changes in patient condition.

The position requires a High School diploma/GED, current BLS certification, and preferred CNA credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within the nursing attendant’s scope of practice.
• Notifies licensed personnel when patient reports pain or changes in status.
• Assists with feeding and maintains fluid balance.
• Communicates patient needs to RN, unit director or team leader.
• Establishes a safe, clean environment and adheres to standards of care.
• Assists physicians with procedures as directed by an RN.
• Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Engages with patients and families to participate in care planning.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the nursing team.
