Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI, seeks a Nurse Assistant to support the Med Surg/Telemetry team. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care and help maintain a safe, clean environment under the RN's supervision.

Preferred candidates hold a current CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and up to six months’ prior acute care or physician office experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living for non-critical patients.
• Provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment on the Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
