Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI, is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support the Med Surg/Telemetry team. You will help with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and help maintain a safe environment under the RN in charge.

The role requires a current CNA certificate (preferred), BLS within 30 days of hire, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months’ experience in an acute care setting or physician’s office. Day shifts, full-time.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire, preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
