Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, intake/outtake, nutrition assistance, and basic clinical procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and basic math, reading, and interpersonal skills. Experience is not required, with pay ranging from $20.00 to $26.92 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; 30 days to obtain after hire.

Responsabilités

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes activities of daily living.
• Take and record vital signs and report abnormalities to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis and record intake and output.
• Provide for personal care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under supervision.
• Assist with meals and nutritional needs; set up meal trays and feed as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and maintain safety.
• Support patient safety as a sitter when required.
• Assist with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
• Participate in department duties and quality improvement activities.
