Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Northern Pines Care Center in Minnesota. You will provide direct resident care, assist with hygiene and feeding, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while reporting changes to the shift nurse.

Position is 0.6 FTE with shift rotation (D/E/N) and potential for remote/hybrid options noted in a nursing facility context; holidays are required and union representation is Northern Pines Hospital AFSCME.

Qualifications

• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs; report changes to shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and neat environment; recognize abuse of vulnerable adults.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective actions in emergencies.
