Job summary

Essentia Health's Northern Pines Care Center in Minnesota seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents, assist with personal hygiene, support nutritional needs, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

You will monitor resident conditions, report changes promptly to the shift nurse, prevent abuse of vulnerable adults in care, and participate in safety initiatives to ensure quality care for every resident.

Qualifications

• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry, or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant - Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and assists with personal hygiene.
• Assists with providing for nutritional needs; recognizes and reports changes in resident condition to shift nurse.
• Maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for residents.
• Aware of and prevents the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health SNF.
• Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish responsibilities safely.
• Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.
