Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join a busy medical/surgical unit. Under supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities, take vital signs, collect specimens, and document care in the medical record while maintaining safety and infection-control practices.

This role requires current CNA certification and Basic Life Support. You will work closely with the nursing team to provide compassionate care and support to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Min Requirement: Previous work as a Certified Nursing Assistant or, if a nursing student, completion of one semester of clinical rotation in a nursing program.
• Min Experience: Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
• Skills/Certification: Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and collect specimens.
• Document portions of the patient's medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Provide care to medical/surgical patients.
• Communicate pertinent observations to the Registered Nurse.
• Participate in emergency care under supervision.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
