Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in California is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Assistant (CNA) for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will assist with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care and help maintain a safe patient environment for non-critical cases.

The role requires a current CNA certificate (preferred), BLS within 30 days of hire, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
