Job summary

Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Little Rock is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in delivering patient care in assigned units. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, and performing routine clinical skills under the supervision of RNs.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, preparing rooms, aiding in admissions/discharges, responding to patient needs, and assisting with meals and basic treatments as directed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Take and record vital signs and document timely.
• Prepare patient room for admission/transfer and ensure equipment is ready.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answer call lights, telephone, and paging system and respond appropriately.
• Assist with routine treatments under RN direction.
• Assist with patient feeding and meal service.
