Job summary

Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join Acute Care. Under RN/LPN supervision, you will provide direct patient care across a hospital, long-term care, and outpatient settings, supporting care plans and safety.

The role requires English proficiency, six months of general experience or equivalent education, and the ability to perform basic nursing tasks and observe patient status. Work shifts include 7:00am–7:30pm with potential for varied days.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience or equivalent training.
• English language proficiency for speaking and writing.
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in full range of nursing care under supervision.
• Contribute to patient care plan development and evaluation.
• Perform procedures such as ECGs, glucose monitoring, and phlebotomy.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team.
• Maintain Safe Patient Handling practices and infection control.
