Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the RN and completes activities of daily living.
• Takes and records vital signs and other observations.
• Assists with intake/output and specimen collection.
• Provides for nutrition needs and assists with meal service.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision.
• Maintains safety and infection control practices.
• Supports orientation of new Nursing Assistant staff.
