Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician. Monitors response and reports changes.
• Adheres to infection control policies relevant to medication administration.
• Assists residents with medication and supervises self-administration.
• Maintains residents’ records daily and documents changes in condition or behavior.
• Counts controlled substances with appropriate personnel and ensures accuracy.
• Responds promptly to resident requests and emergency calls; supports family and friends as needed.
• Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
