Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Patient Safety Technician (CNA) for the Med-Surg unit in Memphis, TN. This full-time night shift role focuses on monitoring patients and supporting the health care team to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, mobility, meals, and daily living activities, under RN/LPN supervision. Prior CNA experience preferred; CPR/BCLS required upon hire; 1 year clinical experience in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments in accordance with policies and procedures, addressing age-specific patient needs with care and compassion.
• Provides patient care by performing tasks per plan, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Assists with elimination via urinals, bedpans, bowel and/or bladder programs.
• Transports and ambulates patients.
• Assists with post mortem care.
• Prepares patients for meals and assists with tray setup.
• Assists with breathing exercises and daily living activities.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and stocked; maintains supply inventory.
• Performs delegated technical procedures under RN/LPN supervision.
• Measures vital signs, height, weight, and basic assessments.
• Applies dressings, compresses, bandages and skin preps.
• Documents nutrition intake and fluid balance.
• Provides comfort measures and monitors patient condition.
