Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is seeking drivers to transport wheelchair or stretcher patients in specially equipped vehicles across California.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least 3 years of professional driving, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass drug tests and health screenings. You will operate independently or with a teammate, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required
• 3 years of professional driving experience required
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point)
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test and health screening which includes alcohol, TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray
• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills
• Ability to drive to various locations
• Professionalism
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle
• Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely
• Utilize company transportation software
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Assume on-call responsibilities
• Effectively communicate with leadership
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
