Job summary

America West Medical Transportation is seeking a courteous wheelchair transport driver to deliver reliable service to clients, assist them into and out of vehicles, and provide a through-the-door experience. This role requires a flexible schedule and local on-road work in the Chicago area.

The driver will perform pre-trip checks, navigate the service region using GPS, and ensure safety for elderly clients while maintaining professional, compassionate customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid CPR/First Aid card preferred but not required.
• Familiar with driving region and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Pre-inspection checks on vehicles and secure equipment.
• Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.
• Assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and provide through-the-door service.
