Job summary

Colonial Group seeks an NEMT Driver to safely transport passengers to non-emergency medical appointments, including doctor visits, dialysis, and hospital discharges. You will assist passengers, ensure safety, and provide courteous, on-time service per company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, navigate service areas with GPS, and document trips using dispatch tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not always required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• NEMT/paratransit/delivery experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read maps and follow GPS to navigate service area.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to and from scheduled medical appointments.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies.
• Properly secure wheelchairs, stretchers, and mobility devices using approved systems.
• Assist passengers with entering/exiting the vehicle and with ramps, lifts, and steps.
• Maintain passenger confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company privacy policies.
