Job summary

Active Day is seeking drivers for mobility buses to assist members with on- and off-boarding, door-to-door service, and safe transport to centers and medical appointments. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain records, and communicate professionally with members and staff in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include ensuring seat belts are fastened, assisting with transfers, and reporting any safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Prior driver experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and follow maintenance and fueling schedules.
• Assist members with on- and off-boarding and ensure seat belts are fastened.
• Maintain vehicle information such as route, mileage, and service records.
• Communicate professionally with members, families, and staff.
• Report safety concerns and assist with operational efficiencies where possible.
• Comply with policies, safety rules, and regulatory standards.
