The Dayton VA Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Mental Health Residential Rehab Treatment Program (MHRRTP). You will provide direct care to Veterans, perform basic nursing tasks, and support daily living activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This role emphasizes compassionate communication, observation of patient status, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Shift schedule includes 3:30 pm - Midnight with weekends/holidays as required.

Qualifications

• HS education plus education related to nursing care or healthcare.
• Ability to provide range of patient/resident care and recovery support.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates knowledge of assignment procedures and is ready to receive report.
• Assist patients with self-care and activities, maintaining independence.
• Observe patient status and communicate deviations to supervisor promptly.
• Provide basic life support and assist with treatments under supervision.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
