Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support patient care on the unit. You will model professional standards and advocate for patients while assisting with daily living activities.

You will work alongside registered nurses, help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment through observation and interaction, and commit to ongoing professional development.

This part-time evening role requires strong written and verbal communication, with CNA preferred for additional differential pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferred.
• Experience with mentally ill or developmentally delayed clients.
• Excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• CNA license preferred (2% pay differential).

Responsibilities

• Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital service standards.
• Advocates for patients and communicates needs.
• Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, especially activities of daily living.
• Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment on the unit through observation and interaction.
• Commits to self-development relevant to the mental health worker role.
