Job summary

Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care in Sacramento, CA is seeking a caring Caregiver I to provide compassionate, resident-centered support. Duties include assisting with ADLs, monitoring health, and promoting dignity and safety in a memory care setting.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow care plans and Title 22 regulations. Training is available, and there are opportunities to advance while supporting residents and families daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience with older adults or dementia preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Background check in line with CDSS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Observe changes in condition and report to supervisor.
• Follow California Title 22 regulations and care plans.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Support memory care through behavior interventions and a calm environment.
• Document care provided accurately and timely.
• Assist with meals and hydration.
• Participate in shift reports and teamwork.
