Job summary

Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care in Sacramento, CA seeks a dedicated Caregiver I to provide compassionate, person-centered care following Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and individualized service plans. You will assist with ADLs, monitor condition, and report changes to licensed staff.

You must have strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work with residents with dementia, maintain confidentiality, and participate in training; weekends and overtime may

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience working with older adults or people living with dementia is preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or obtain within required timeframe).
• Current health screening and TB clearance.
• Criminal background clearance as required by CDSS.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional status and report to licensed staff.
• Apply dementia care techniques to promote dignity and reduce anxiety.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection prevention practices.
• Complete and maintain required documentation accurately and timely; protect confidentiality.
