Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Resident Assistant (Aide) for Glen at Hiland Meadows – Memory Care. This part-time evening position offers 8 hours per week and an opportunity to provide compassionate assistance in a warm, home-like setting.

You will support residents with daily activities, reinforce independence, and collaborate with a close-knit care team under LPN/RN supervision. Prior senior care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must possess patience, empathy and a genuine desire to help others
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in senior care, health care or assisted living preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Supports the Trinity/SPHP Vision, Mission, Values in all encounters with residents and families
• Adheres to the SPHP Code of Conduct
• Demonstrates accountability as an individual and team member in meeting basic resident and family needs
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility in a respectful, compassionate manner
• Assist residents in taking medications as needed
• Encourage and support resident independence and dignity
• Monitor resident safety and well-being, reporting any change to the LPN
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their personal histories, preferences and routines and anticipate needs of residents
• Help with light housekeeping and meal service as needed to maintain a safe and clean living space
• Participate in team meetings and communicate/collaborate with coworkers and supervisors
• Promote a warm, friendly, and respectful environment
