St. Peter's Health Partners in East Greenbush, NY invites compassionate applicants to join Hawthorne Ridge as a Resident Assistant (Aide) for memory care.

This part-time, day-shift role supports residents with daily living activities in a warm, respectful setting. Under the supervision of LPN/RN, you’ll assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and medication reminders, while promoting independence and dignity for residents with dementia.

Qualifications

• Must possess patience, empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in senior care, health care or assisted living preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility in a respectful, compassionate manner.
• Assist residents in taking medications as needed.
• Encourage and support resident independence and dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and well-being, reporting any changes to the LPN/RN.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their personal histories, preferences and routines.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal service as needed to maintain a safe and clean living space.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate/collaborate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Promote a warm, friendly, and respectful environment.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Previous experience in senior care or assisted living preferred
