Job summary

A senior living community in Chelmsford is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to coordinate and implement engaging programs for residents. This role will support the Activity Director and ensure residents' psychological, emotional, and social needs are met in a nurturing setting. Qualifications

• Experience developing programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding residents and staff.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement programs for residents' psychological, intellectual, and social needs.
• Lead individual and group activities as per programming schedule.
• Motivate residents to participate in programming and activities.

Skills

Knowledge of aging and disability issues

Training in recreational activities

Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias

Positive attitude

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks

Education
