Job summary

Elan Westpointe in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to provide medication administration and personal care to residents in a warm senior living community. This full-time role involves rotating day and night shifts (6 AM–6 PM or 6 PM–6 AM) with weekends as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Authorized by the applicable state governing authority to assist or administer medication.
• Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication.
• Verify identity of resident receiving medication and record drug details.
• Observe ingestion or other administration and document outcomes.
• Maintain medical records under supervision of RN/LPN and update records.
• Take vital signs or observe changes and report to Wellness Manager.
• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
